As part of the GRAMMY Museum’s Programs at Home, the GRAMMY Museum’s Schyler O’Neal talks with German-born, Los Angeles and Hawaii-based singer, songwriter, and producer NoMBe about the making of his sophomore album, CHROMATOPIA. Noah McBeth — under the moniker NoMBe —has established his place as one of pop’s most intriguing new faces. Raised mostly by his grandmother and nurtured by his godmother, R&B legend Chaka Khan, NoMBe was encouraged to pursue music early on and studied classical piano. He initially gained buzz in 2015 with his viral hit-single "California Girls,” paving the way for his 2018 debut album They Might've Even Loved Me. Chances are, you’ve heard NoMBe’s catchy and distinctive music before as songs of his have been placed in a variety of television shows including Shameless, Ozark, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, The Resident, Ballers, and Siesta Key to name a few.
