On September 29, 2016, the GRAMMY Museum was thrilled to welcome artist/producer duo, The Chainsmokers, for an intimate Q&A and first listen of their new music. Comprising of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, The Chainsmokers are a dominating musical force with a diverse repertoire of songs and a signature sound that deftly reaches across indie, progressive and pop realms and original tracks and remixes that have topped the charts throughout the world. Their evolution as producers and as songwriters has seen them dial up some of the biggest breakthrough songs of the year. Luminous tracks such as "Roses" featuring Rozes (which Stereogum hailed as one of the "10 best songs of the year") and the chart-topping Bouquet EP fueled their ascent as a breakout duo with an unparalleled ability to craft undeniable pop gems. "Roses," which reached the Top 5 at Pop Radio and Top 5 on the iTunes Top Songs chart, was followed by "Don't Let Me Down" featuring Daya, which hit No. 1 at Pop Radio and marked their third No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Their single "Closer" featuring vocals from Halsey and the duo's own Drew Taggart marked their first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and their third Top 10 on the chart that year. They have performed all over the world to sold-out crowds at their own headline shows and major festivals including SXSW, Ultra and Coachella, where their set was ranked as one of Billboard's "11 Best Moments" of the festival.
