Jordan Suaste
Pop • 20m
As part of the GRAMMY Museum’s celebration of Pride Month, Jordan Suaste talks with Schyler O’Neal from the GRAMMY Museum about his new music, creative process, and celebrating music with Pride. With the arrival of his breakthrough single “Body” and the tracks “Hookup Culture” and “Patience,” 20-year-old singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Jordan Suaste introduced a much-needed new voice into today’s pop landscape. Jordan, who has been writing songs since he was five years old, dropped out of school at age 16 and started posting original songs on Instagram. “Hookup Culture” was released in April 2020 and quickly drew attention for its bittersweet takedown of the toxicity in modern dating. Just two weeks later, Jordan delivered “Body” and saw his audience grow exponentially — garnering over 50,000 YouTube subscribers in just over a month and 500K TikTok followers, a number now surpassing 15 million — as fans instantly adopted its message of renewed strength and resilience.
