Tiger JK is a Korean-American rapper, record producer and entrepreneur best known as a founding member of Korean hip-hop group Drunken Tiger, which debuted in 1999. He is widely acclaimed as the godfather of Korean hip-hop and his influential tracks “I Want You” and “Do You Know Hip Hop?” are considered classics that have been credited with bringing the genre into the Korean mainstream. He has also founded two record labels, including Feel GHood Music and is currently a member of hip hop trio MFBTY. He recently was a highlight live performance during 2021 88rising’s Head in the Clouds Festival at the Los Angeles Rose Bowl and is preparing for a stateside comeback.
Now, nearly 20 years, eight albums, and multiple hits after his initial efforts, Tiger JK and Drunken Tiger's impact reign supreme in the Land of the Morning Calm. Not only has JK pushed the boundary of the art and played an essential role in elevating the culture, but he also did it without forsaking its authenticity. Recognized internationally as a star, Drunken Tiger remains as the face of Korean hip-hop and few—if any—can dispute that claim."" - XXL
Not only is she nationally heralded as the Queen of Korean Hip Hop, Tasha Reid, also known as T or Yoonmirae (윤미래), is equally celebrated for her chart-topping ballads. Born in Texas to a Korean mother and Black father, the multiethnic bilingual star broke through racial and musical barriers as a founding member in some of the most iconic hip-hop and R&B acts of the ’90s — when both genres were still nascent in South Korea – and soon launched her trailblazing solo career by 2001. Emerging in the 2010s with multiple chart-topping hits, Tasha solidified herself as a nationally-beloved artist and television personality, so much so that her legendary status has reached our shores. In recent years, Tasha co-founded acclaimed Korean boutique label Feel GHood Music and is currently preparing her first stateside debut.
