On March 6, 2023, the GRAMMY Museum presented an intimate conversation and performance with Gogol Bordello at National Sawdust in Brooklyn, NY. The conversation was moderated by special guest Jim Jarmusch and included a discussion with frontman Eugene Hütz about the band’s career, latest music, creative process, musical influences, and more. Following the conversation, the band performed.

Gogol Bordello is one of many artists to be featured in the GRAMMY Museum’s New York City program series, which includes bringing a slate of the GRAMMY Museum’s renowned GRAMMY In The Schools Education Programs and Public Programs to the East Coast in partnership with the City of New York Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment. “A New York Evening With…” is presented by City National Bank and generously supported by the Dawn and Brian Hoesterey Family Foundation.

International punk band Gogol Bordello, led by Ukrainian frontman Eugene Hütz, is a rare musical force raucously illuminating stages alongside System of a Down, Rancid and Dropkick Murphys, dueting with Regina Spektor, and cutting albums with Rick Rubin & Steve Albini. A lifelong lover of the punk scene growing up in Ukraine, Hütz found himself where he felt he belonged, in New York’s Lower East Side in the late 90s, where he went to shows and later performed at the legendary CBGB. Gogol Bordello recently released a 15 Year Anniversary Edition of their album Super Taranta! along with their new album Solidaritine, where they return to their hardcore roots with a renewed sense of urgency.
