"The GRAMMY Museum welcomed MILCK to the Museum’s intimate 200-seat Clive Davis Theater for a special evening featuring a film screening of I Can't Keep Quiet, a conversation with the filmmakers moderated by best-selling author Lisa Bilyeu, and a performance.

A portion of proceeds benefited Tuesday Night Project– the longest-running Asian American free public arts series in the country, and the first place MILCK felt safe enough to share her story– as they celebrate 25 years of creativity, inclusivity, and community empowerment.

I Can't Keep Quiet is an intimate portrait of one woman’s quest for healing that reverberated around the globe through her song “Quiet,” an anthem for the women’s movement. Five years later, we take a deeper look into the song's impact on MILCK's journey of reclamation: reclaiming trust in herself, her sense of belonging, and her sisterhood with ""Quiet's"" co-writer, AG. As we follow MILCK’s path of activism and artistry, we get a window into how she's awakened by the stillness of quarantine and the reckoning of our country’s racial justice movement. Her acknowledgement and accountability for her blind spots provides her and AG a chance for healing as they celebrate that it’s never too late to reclaim our voices.

ABOUT MILCK:

MILCK (CONNIE K. LIM) is a gentle rebel gemini who uses her music and storytelling to encourage herself and her listeners to joyfully tap into their truest voice. In addition to writing and producing with songs with artists like John Legend, LeAnn Rimes, Philippa Soo, and Natasha Bedingfield, she is also known for her own anthemic songs that fuel global, grassroot movements, like her song “Quiet”, a viral sensation that was named Billboard’s No. 1 Protest Song of the year, and an official selection on NPR's American Anthem series.
