New Releases • 45m
On March 14, 2023, the GRAMMY Museum hostedt GRAMMY-nominated artist Ellie Goulding for an intimate conversation in the Museum's 200-seat theater about the making of her new upcoming album Higher Than Heaven, her creative process, career, and more. The conversation was moderated by Rolling Stone's Tomás Mier.
Ellie enlisted some of pop music’s finest to craft the new album with her, including Greg Kurstin (Sia, Maggie Rogers, Elton John), Jessie Shatkin (Charli XCX, Years & Years), Koz (Sam Ryder, Madonna, Dua Lipa) and Andrew Wells (Halsey, Yungblud). Putting her own spin on modern pop music, Higher Than Heaven is jam packed with infectious hits featuring Ellie’s signature vocals taking center stage. The top-notch production on the pop album sparkles with stomping basslines, soaring synths and euphoric melodies.
To date Ellie has celebrated two GRAMMY Award nominations, a Golden Globe nomination, three #1 UK albums and two BRIT Awards. She has sold over 27 million albums and 216 million singles and amassed 43 billion streams worldwide. With over 50 million followers combined on her social platforms, she also earned YouTube’s Diamond Award with 10 million subscribers on her YouTube channel and over 5 billion views globally.
Alongside her incredible music career, Ellie is a long-standing activist and philanthropist who uses her platform to engage young people with global issues. In 2017, Goulding was awarded the UN’s New Voices Award, and in recognition of her wider activism became a goodwill ambassador for UN Environment. Goulding is also a TIME100 Impact Award recipient and is an ambassador with the WWF.
