"The GRAMMY Museum welcomed acclaimed breakout artist Lizzy McAlpine to the Museum’s intimate 200-seat Clive Davis Theater for an evening including a conversation about her rising career, latest music, her creative process, and more. A performance followed.

Born outside Philadelphia, Lizzy McAlpine originally gained recognition when she began to share original songs and covers on Soundcloud and YouTube. In 2020, Lizzy released her debut album, Give Me A Minute, chronicling the beginning and end of a romantic relationship. Lizzy's second studio album five seconds flat (2022) includes singles “all my ghosts,” “erase me (feat. Jacob Collier)” and hit track “ceilings,” which went Platinum-certified. The track has accumulated over 300 million streams on Spotify after becoming an enormous TikTok success that hit #1 on the Alternative Streaming Songs chart.

“ceilings” is from Lizzy’s much-lauded second studio album, five seconds flat, which was released to critical acclaim. Produced by Philip Etherington and Ehren Ebbage, the 14-track album includes contributions from GRAMMY-award winners FINNEAS and Jacob Collier, plus Ben Kessler and Laura Elliott. Lizzy also performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Ellen Show and NPR Music’s Tiny Desk where the performance was voted in the Top 5 of 2022 Tiny Desks. "
