"The GRAMMY Museum presented an intimate conversation with Jon Batiste followed by a performance at National Sawdust in Brooklyn, NY. The conversation included a discussion moderated by journalist Marcus J. Moore about Jon's career, latest album, World Music Radio, documentary AMERICAN SYMPHONY and more.

Jon Batiste is one of the many artists to be featured in the GRAMMY Museum’s New York City program series, which includes bringing a slate of the GRAMMY Museum’s renowned GRAMMY In The Schools Education Programs and Public Programs to the East Coast in partnership with the City of New York Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment. “A New York Evening With…” is generously supported by the Dawn and Brian Hoesterey Family Foundation.

Jon Batiste is one of history’s most brilliant, prolific, and accomplished musicians.

Batiste studied and received both a B.A. and M.F.A. at the world-renowned Juilliard School in New York City. From 2015 until 2022, Batiste served as the bandleader and musical director of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS. Most recently, Jon was awarded a Sports Emmy in the category of “Outstanding Open/Tease” for his 2022 NCAA March Madness piece.
